Representatives To Contact

It is time to organize an all out campaign to let the Commissioner, Attorney General, and our state legislators our opinion regarding this case.

 

During the federal hearing held Oct. 5-6 in US District Court, the federal magistrate found that Dr. Robban Sica did not provide the considerable evidence needed for the federal government to have sufficient justification to intervene in the administrative hearing. Therefore, Dr. Sica must return to the administrative forum and appeal to the Superior Court if she is not provided with due process there. 

 

Also a few months ago, after the federal lawsuit was filed, the DOPH retaliated by filing an additional charge against Dr. Sica, claiming her work to establish integrated health centers where doctors, chiropractors, and other healthcare practitioners could work together constitutes billing fraud. There is no evidence to back up this charge, however, they may use this information to attempt to discredit Dr. Sica.

 

Dr. Sica and Tim Bolen recently attended the International College of Integrative Medicine, where they met with many top integrative doctors who also do chelation and other therapies.  In every case where a doctor has been harassed by their medical board, it was their patients who turned the tide by getting involved and letting the government know their desire to continue to access alternative therapies.

2. In your letter/conversation, you can use any or all of the following talking points:
   1. I am outraged at the fact that:
   2. My doctor is being unfairly charged and prosecuted by the Department of Public Health as there have been no patient complaints or patients harmed by Dr. Sica?s therapies.
   3. The DOPH claims she violated an unwritten standard of care by using EDTA chelation therapy for heavy metal toxicity and vascular disease. However, EDTA therapy is legally administered by doctors in most other states in the US. In fact, the NIH has sponsored the Trial to Assess Chelation Therapy and chelation is being studied in 120 centers nationally under the auspices of the NIH.
   4. The DOPH is attempting to take away my right to choose my doctor and my choice of health care
   5. I want to make sure my freedom to choose is protected.
   6. I expect you to personally involve yourself in this process and find out how this could happen and to work to right this wrong. Please respond as to how this is being allowed to happen.
      
3. Send the same letter to Connecticut State Senators and House of Representatives (yours and as many others as you can). Don?t forget to send a copy to us too!
   1. Also ask them to look into what type of oversight there is to insure that administrative agencies such as the DOPH do not overstep their bounds.
   2. You can find their phone numbers and addresses in the blue pages of the phone book or at State Senators and House of Representatives pages.
      
4. Print out copies of the flyer and distribute them to your local health food store or other alternative practitioners? office. Ask if you can post it. Hand it out to all your friends who share your views on health freedom.
   
5. We are working on a formal petition to the Commissioner. We will soon be sending it to you for your signature.
